MaxClear FAQs

Culligan with MaxClear Technology filters are certified to reduce harmful contaminants, including microplastics, lead, Total PFAS (forever chemicals), pharmaceuticals, pesticides, chlorine, and chloramine.

For the full list of what we reduce, see our performance certifications here

Our filters are made with a ceramic shell, high-flow carbon block, and granular activated carbon. While many competitive filters only use carbon elements, our hybrid approach to water filtration works to effectively reduce harmful contaminants while maintaining a strong flow rate.

Both MaxClear and ZeroWater Technology are certified to reduce harmful contaminants like lead and total PFAS (forever chemicals). But they filter water in different ways:

ZeroWater Technology uses advanced deionization to remove virtually all dissolved solids from your water. This includes metals, salts, and minerals. The 5-stage filtration is also certified to reduce pharmaceuticals and pesticides.

MaxClear uses a powerful ceramic shell with tiny pores to trap contaminants while keeping healthy minerals like calcium and magnesium. MaxClear is also certified to filter microplastics.

Because the technologies are different, some of their certifications vary. To learn more, view their performance certifications here
